The Bishop - Cocktail Recipe

Feb 19, 2021

Printed in A.S. Crockett’s Old Waldorf-Astoria Bar Book in the mid-30s, The Bishop is a simple classic – a wine-rum sour. Given its simplicity, this concoction is perfect to make if you have plans to host a bit of a soiree. Simply increase the volumes to measure. You’ll notice it’s very similar to a Sangria, but where a Sangria opts for brandy, The Bishop trades this in for something a little different – Rum.

Sangria is great to enjoy in the sun but The Bishop leans more towards those darker desires!  From the moment you first sip this delicious concoction out of your coupe glass, you won’t look back! With its notes of dark fruit and aromas of vanilla, Apothic Cab is the perfect choice for this alluring cocktail!

The Bishop Ingredients

  • 100ml of rum
  • 30ml of Apothic Cab
  • 30ml of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of simple syrup

The Bishop Cocktail Directions

  2. Shake all ingredients well for 30 seconds to mix.
